We went to the hospital in Bethany"s VW convertable, with plans to ride around in it more after the surgery (illeo conduit like a colostomy for urine) she was in good health other than the bothersome bladder(so we thought). She was looking forward to attending our salon's grand opening and hanging out there, she was at home in a hair salon. After the surgery, and one complication after another, she knew she was going and only wanted to go "home", Nelson Manor. Other than that, she was concerned with others- she demanded that I be strong, as she kindly listened to all of our fussing which probably annoyed her. She was too kind to say so. she also tried to tell her sister and some friends that she loved them even though she could hardly speak. By the end of her life, she was truly selfless. We will all miss her beautiful face and spirit.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Marsha for past 3 years. She has given me and my son much joy. From her home made holiday cards to her care and compassion for others. She has been an inspiration for us here at Nelson Manor. She is deeply missed by staff and residents.

We are all thinking of the family at this difficult time. Marsha was a wonderful women. Marsha always road the bus to many activities with her daughter and grand daughter. I loved visiting with Marsha when she was a roomate to my grandma at Heritage Manor. I will never forget Marsha.

I have known Marsha since January of this year. I will always cherish the many talks we had about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness!! I'm glad I got to meet her. I first met Marsha, Kendra's Mom, in 1999, in Newton. I liked her instantly. She was a very sweet and beautiful woman, very gracious and had a wonderful family. I only had brief visits with her, since I live out of state, but she left a very lasting impression on my life. She was always so appreciative of everyone; always interested more in others than herself; She was one of the most beautiful spirits I have ever met; She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her daughter, Kendra, has alot of Marsha's spirit in her, so Marsha will continue to live on in all our hearts. Heaven has a New Angel now, and I'm so happy she's in a better place, but we will always miss her. May the Lord Bless and Keep You, Marsha . . . Love, Jeannie
