LD, no one will be able to fill your shoes you were my good friend all my life and I'll miss you the rest of my life. I'm glad you didn't suffer through a long illness but I wished I would have told you how much you meant to me before you left. DC, I'll lean on you now for the important news out of LD's beloved Newton as I've always looked at you as the same I did "L" (that's what Yod called him), Patty I feel so sorry for you and your family. LD was always so proud when he spoke to me about you and his girls. LD, don't fish it out before the rest of us get there, they got a good one GOD BLESS Junie Bon Bon

The world is a sadder place with LDs passing. He was a one of a kind. Very honest, caring, and geniuine. He was like a brother to me. To patty and the rest of the clarkes, I am so sorry for your loss. I will cherish the memories I have of ballgames at the heights, running free at night during our summer campouts, cruising the gravel roads in our high school years, and many fishing trips to red rock. LD ,you were usually the first person I looked up when I came to visit, and knowing you won' t be there next time is hard to imagine. YOU WERE ONE OF A KIND.

Today I cleaned up my voicemail but I didn't take LD off it when he called me last month to tell me he was so sorry for my dad passing away. Everytime I would see LD he always asked about my dad. I always have had a special place in my heart for you LD. You always made me laugh, you always asked about dad and the dad you called from work and said if I needed anything to call and that you love me. I saved it today because you are so special to me. Then Scott came home and told me the news. I am called Patty to make sure and couldn't stop crying and she told me. "Rona, your dad needed another angel to drink with and that you and him were having a cold one right now." I knew when you and her started dating that you both would be great for each other. When I shared that with her today she told me she lost not only a great husband but her BEST FRIEND! Right now I am so sad, mad and will never erase that message you left me. You are so missed right now!!!
ALWAYS AND FOREVER I LOVE YOU LD!

To Patty,Dari,Jody, and all the family, our heart felt sympathy goes out to all of you. L.D. was special not just to me but to everyone that knew him. He was loved by all of us Sharps (Jody,Mike,David, and Tommy) He was part of our family. When I was 11 L.D. would take down to Aurora Heights and throw batting practice to me. He told me that if I could hit his nuckle ball and curve ball that I'd could could hit any 12 year old that came along.Later when I was in high school, L.D. would make sure that I would get any homerun ball that I hit. Sometimes he'd have to buy it from a kid but that didn't matter to L.D. That was just L.D. I love you "L". and I know the the good lord will let us meet again. I thank you for being my friend.
