While I never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Gran, I am so pleased that her three sons came into my life through Iowa State University. Jim, Bill and Dave, lived with my brothers at Alumni Hall. The Hall was really a special place where lifetime friendships were nurtured. The Gran brothers remained friends with all of the Nilles family over the years. I only wish we could all see each other more often. To each of you, Jim, Bill and Dave, I am so sorry for your loss.
