To the Rickerd families,
We knew Bob and Beth from the Parsons Company, then Bob went to John Deere Des Moines Works with Richard, and the friendship continued thru the years. Bob was an artist, a good Christian, and Beth was dearly loved. So many memories come to mind and I am so sorry that I just found out both had passed away. My deepest sympathy to the families left to mourn their passing, but I just believe they are in a far better place than this earth will ever know. No more tears, no more illness, pain, suffering. Praise God for these two beautiful people.

My Grandfather was a brilliant man a treasured man. I gave him my respect and often sought his advice. Maytag,whirlpool and the U.A.W did a number on my grandpa because of the trust he put into those organizations. Retirement got difficult for them because grandpa came from a generation that a man's word is his bond. It was very hard watching my grandparents grow older and I did what I could to ease there burdens I was grateful for the opportunities to show them love through my hands. When life presented it's terms often unfair in many circumstances my grandfather was there along with my grandmother to shelter thier family through prayer and through works. My grandfather viewed the world in black and white. Critical thinking came easily to him. He taught me long division and the importance of keeping your word. How to shoot a Bow and Arrow. How to mushroom hunt and how to have faith. He was one of the very few men that I've met in my life that reflected the principals he taught. My grandfather is already dearly missed but is reunited in Heaven with his daughter Laura his son Thomas. He was the absolute best grandfather anyone could ever have. We are not meant to live in this world forever and I rejoice in knowing my Grandfather is now in an eternal body. Mr Rickerd is already dearly missed. I love you grandpa

Beth Rickerd always had a prayer for those who visited her home. Beth always had a scripture for you and would remind you to "make memories" and oh the memories we made visits in the shade with laughter and " considering the Lilies and how they grew" Beth shared her recipes and her love. I will miss you my dear friend and mother of sister in life and sister in Christ. I will hold you Beth, Bob and Laura in my heart always until We shall meet on that beautiful shore;

Robert Rickerd was a very kind man and Loved his wife to the fullest. He would always lend a helping hand and had a great sense of humor. He was an artist with paintings and oh the wood carvings from animals to old men panning gold, why he even did faces of people he loved. He loved his grandchildren and great-granddaughters. We enjoyed our visits and dinners together as well as doing yard work. Bob will be missed by everyone that knew him.

My deepest sympathy to Beth, Melody and all family members. I so enjoyed being neighbor to Beth and Bob. They were friendly and helpful always. Rest in Peace Bob, you will be remembered and missed by many!
