Walt was my boy scout leader at Troop 388 back in the late 60s and early 70s. He was a very nice man and very good Scoutmaster. As a troop, we went on many camping trips and scouting events. I remember some pretty cold winter camping weekends at the Amboy Trail Ranch and a particularly cold Klondike Derby at Westwood. I have very fond memories of my scouting years and am thankful that Walt was able to have some influence on my life through Scouting.
My deepest sympathies to the families. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
