I meant Joel as I gave a call out to him to clean my carpets in several of my different homes I had purchased over the years and instantly made a connection with him as if I’ve known him for years! He was a great man and would do anything for you!
You will be deeply missed and will always love you Joel!!

Joel, many memories, but the one that stands out is our most recent discussions of how dedicated you were to loving our Lord and how you wanted all of our class to be together forever. We were blessed, my friend, to share the most important things on this side and those will be Forever!!!! Heres to the many blessings you gave me. See you soon!

My memories of Joel are of growing up in the neighborhood in New Sharon. There were a lot of kids to play with one of them was Joel his brother and two sisters . You could go out about any time of day and find someone to get into trouble with. Latter on it was high school athletics where he excelled especially in baseball. I have many fond memories of those days. Joel was a good friend and teammate. Dying is a process we all are going through. Joel’s spirit will endure, and he was made of star stuff! Rest In Peace Joel!

My Uncle Joel was the most kind and gentle man. There was a never a time that I remember him ever being unkind. He was always so supportive of my sports endeavors, offering sound advice and encouraging being a phenomenal athlete in his own right. His tenderness always showed through. I remember him crying every time I would sing. The Lord made him tender. Our hearts are so comforted knowing He is with Jesus and not suffering. I am so thankful my children were able to get to know him and feel his love and kindness as well. May his family be comforted and loved during this time.

I have fond memories of Joel and his fastball. He was a lot of fun to coach and won a lot of games for North Mahaska.

Well I have many many memories too many to mention but one bond we had was our love of sports especially baseball. Joel and I were just kids and played on a Semi Pro team known as the Grinnell Blues. We were just sophomores in HS and at a 4th of July tournament in Grinnell Joel pitched a great game and I caught him and we won the tourney followed up by fireworks after the game. Lots of those kinds of memories but the most important one was our love for the Lord.

Joel was a fine man and a wonderful friend. He spent many hours with Richard, reading the Bible, watching Bible tapes, and having coffee. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for a friend. He will be greatly missed by his friends, and my deepest sympathy to Kathy and their family. May the Lord Jesus Christ uplift you during these sorrowful times, and bring you peace and comfort. God bless you all.
