Obituary of Sheri L. Shimon

Sheri L. Shimon, the daughter of John Dennis Diekmann and Joan Marilyn Radil, was born January 16, 1960 in Algona, Iowa. She graduated from Algona Senior High School in 1978, and from the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls, Iowa in 1982.
On August 29, 1992, Sheri was united in marriage with Larry Shimon in Algona, Iowa. She worked for Iowa Telecom in the Directory Department. Sheri loved her family and loved to be involved in her boys' activities. She enjoyed music, especially the Beatles, shopping, reading, walks with her dachshunds, St. Louis baseball, lighthouses and collecting figurines.
Sheri died Friday, June 18, 2010, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 50 years old.
Those left to honor Sheri's memory include her husband, Lawrence "Larry"and her sons, Jordan and Evan of Newton; her parents, John and Joan Diekmann of Algona, Iowa and her brother, Mark Diekmann of Des Moines, Iowa.
