Little did I know at the time that one year of adventure as an exchange student in your family would extend to over four decades of lasting love and belonging. There are angels among us, and Dale was one to me, his example showing how to strive to be a man, his welcoming hospitability always giving comfort and inviting me to return to my beloved American family. This welcome extended to my own family, and all of us, Eeva, Oodi, Vertti, Aino and myself, will carry Dale’s memory in our hearts throughout our lives.
We pray for strength for Priscilla and all the family at this time of sorrow
