Dwight was a faithful servant at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and will be greatly missed from his work as Treasurer of the Church to the ringing of the bell to the snow clean up to the Communion supplies to the teaching of adult Sunday School... and the list goes on and on. Who will remind us now to turn down the thermostats, etc.?
We knew him as Norm from the Air Force Reunions that he faithfully attended. As a wife of one of the Air Force Men I admired that he came all crisp & put together knowing he was a single man farming in Iowa. He wrote beautiful letters with such lovely penmanship & we both had meaningful phone conversations of catch up between reunions. I knew that I had some spiritual conversations & understandings with Norm but had no idea how much he contributed to his church until after his passing. We come from different worlds in the Northwest but always looked forward to seeing Norm at the reunions. He will be sorely missed by all the 8th AFDS Men & their wives.
