I was so sorry to hear about Burt's passing. I know he and my dad are "golfing in heaven" or sharing a joke. I mostly remember Burt as the funniest, most engaging Sunday School teacher I ever had at 1st Lutheran. My gosh, but he made it fun and interesting. He certainly lived a life full of service and love to all who knew him. Burt was a very great friend of ours. Our lives were better for knowing "Burt" We had lots of conversations at Shaklee Events no manner where. I will always remember our time in the Bahamas, where I first met him. We were speaking and Burt was my "Bahama Buddy" We talked about that very often. My condolences to Junella and Family. We have known Burt and Junella since we lived in Newton and attended First Lutheran in the 1960s, then our friendship was renewed when we lived there again in the 90's. He will be missed by so many, and our love goes out to Junella and the family.

Burt was a jewel of a man! Always concerned about others, always optimistic. Though he was not a blood-relative (Julie is my sis-in-law) I always looked forward to seeing him. He was so full of love and joy and we love him and will miss him!

Junella, Jeff, Julie, Jim & families, Burt elicits so many different kinds of feelings and thoughts because of the super man he was. He influenced our lives in many ways, but most importantly he always made us feel important and that we were just the people he needed to see at that time and at that place. He was instrumental in helping Jr. get a job at Maytag which, of course, changed our lives tremendously. He was a great leader for me in Shaklee. I know he influenced many others to achieve more than they ever thought they could. He always treated our daughter Holli as a very special person to him. We owe him many years of wonderful friendship and memories. We wish the family peace and comfort. We will all dearly miss him because without him our lives would not be the same. Burt has been part of our family since May of 1982 when Julie and Dwight were married. He has always been a humorous man who listened with compassion, interest, and sincerity. He has been most important to all of us. The whole Livingston family will have sorrow and grief as they lose this amazing man. We are privileged to have had him in our lives for almost 27 years. He will be greatly missed by all!

Burt was such a nice man. Always had a funny joke to tell. I haven't seen Burt since my days at Maytag, but I am sure that Burt was 89 years YOUNG!!!!!
