James L. Black, age 59, of 708 E. 15th St. S., Newton died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines. Mr. Black was born May 1, 1948 at Kellogg, ID the son of the late Nelson Albert and Margaret Ruth (Larson) Black. He married DorothyCox August 21,1970 at Parkersburg, WV. He was employed by Foursquare as a Pastor. He is survived by his wife: Dorothy(Cox) Black, four daughters: Danika & Scott Smith of NY, Desha & Isaac Davis of NH, Donne Black of Newton, IA, Darci Black of Newton, IA and two sons: Dustin Black of Newton, IA, David Black of CA Son of Margaret Ruth (Larson) Black Brother of three sisters: Sharon & Don Gadbury of CA, Shirley & Donny Shuttlesworth of TX, Kathy & Jim Palmer of ID and two brothers: Wayne & Judy Black of OR, Dan & Edie Black of CA Calling hours will be Tuesday from Visitation with the family will be from 6 - 8pm at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 at Foursquare Church, 1510 S. 8th Avenue E., Newton with Dr. Gary L Hill officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove (Metz) Cemetery, Newton on Thursday at 10:00 am. Memorials may be made to Gideon's International
