Gerald Edwin Flanagan, age 85, of 625 2nd Street, Kellogg died Friday, October 5, 2007 at Iowa Veteran's Home, Marshalltown. Mr. Flanagan was born July 3, 1922 at Green City, MO the son of the late Richard Wayne and the late Martha Deloma (Rouse) Flanagan. He married Doris H.Doud November 1, 1952 at Grinnell, Iowa. He served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 during World War II . He retired from Maytag Company as a Steam Press Operator in 1976. Mr. Flanagan was a member of UAW Local 997; First Southern Baptist Church He is survived by his wife: Doris H.(Doud) Flanagan, two daughters: Barbara Rahimi of Springfield, MO, Patricia & Russell Miller of Marshalltown, IA and two sons: Kenneth & Antonia Flanagan of Kellogg, IA, Guy "Bill" & Pam Doud of Kellogg, IA Brother of five sisters: Vita Jean Cleous of Wichita, KS, Ruth Griffin of Macon, MO, Rose & Ralph Ravencraft of Hallsville, MO, Betty Smith of Kirksville, MO, Deloris & Charles Tabor of Macon, MO and one brother: Jake & Doris Flanagan of Newton, IA Predeceased by his Son, Charles LaVern Flanagan, Son-in-law, Harold Plate Calling hours will be Monday from Visitation with the family will be from 6 - 7:30pm at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton with Rev. John Shaull officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Newton on Tuesday at 10:30 am. Memorials may be made to First Southern Baptist Church; Kellogg Ambulance ane Fire Dept.
