Lowell Leland Gause, age 87, of 1135 Loretta Ave., Waterloo died Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Sunnycrest Nursing Center, Dysart. Mr. Gause was born October 10, 1920 at Lynnville, IA the son of the late Lester Harold and the late Clara (Lory) Gause. She predeceased him August 29, 2000. He served in the Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946 during World War II . He was employed by Jasper County Savings Bank as a Loan Officer. He is survived by one daughter: Julie A. Hook of Waterloo, IA and one son: Leland & Susan Gause of Church Falls, VA Brother of two brothers: Dwight Gause of Auburn, WA, Ralph Gause of Indianapolis, IN Step Daughter, Anne Swanson; First Wife, Dorothy Johnson of Mitchellville, IA Predeceased by his Son, Thomas David Gause, Step Son, John Minear, Second Wife, Betty Gause, Brother, Lester Gause, Jr., Brother, Vern Gause, Brother, Elwin Gause, Brother, Lory Gause Calling hours will be Wednesday from Following the Memorial Service at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:30 at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton with Rev. Michael Dack officiating. Burial will be in Merle Hay Crematory, Des Moines on Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
