Oscar Evert House, age 83, of 1011 W. 8th Street N., Newton died Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Monarch Wing At Skiff Medical Center, Newton. Mr. House was born March 1, 1924 at Birch Tree, MO the son of the late John and the late Myrle (Bliss) House. He married Pansy E.Hasselman May 29, 1948 at Newton, Iowa. He served in the Army from 1944 to 1946 during World War II . He retired from as a Contractor in 1986. Mr. House was a member of Newton V.F.W. He is survived by his wife: Pansy E.(Hasselman) House, two daughters: Mary & John Poole of Oswego, IL, Sally Jane House of Newton, IA and one son: Russell & Pam House of Newton, IA Brother of one sister: Beulah Haile of Springfield, MO and one brother: Howard House of Seattle, WA Predeceased by his Son, Michael House, Brother, Burt House, Brother, Clyde House, Son, Lee House, Sister, Clara McDaniels, Brother-in-law, Leland Haile Calling hours will be Sunday from Visitation with the family will be from 6 - 8pm at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton with Rev. Merle Smith, Chaplain officiating.
