John Harold Mateer, age 76, of 631 Concho Lane, Oak Point died Friday, November 23, 2007 at , Denton.
Mr. Mateer was born November 12, 1931 at Newton, IA the son of the late Harold L. and the late Iva Irene (Wilson) Mateer. He married Sara LouiseLansrud September 20, 1952 at Newton, Iowa.
He served in the Marine Corps from to during Korean war .
He was employed by as a Realtor.
He is survived by his wife: Sara Louise(Lansrud) Mateer and three sons: Mark & Ramona Mateer of Katy, TX, John & Tracey Mateer of Orlando, FL, Steven & Judy Mateer of Little Elm, TX
Brother of one sister: Marjorie McVay of Newton, IA
Sister-in-law, Mary Ann Borst of Cleveland, TN; Adopted Daughter, Bonnie Urinko
. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton with Pastor Audrey Young officiating.
Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
