Larry Thomas Bunnell, the son of Melvin Bunnell and Ruth Garr Grant, was born June 20, 1947, in Rockford, Illinois. Raised by his uncle and aunt, Justin and Bessie Walker in Missouri, Larry and his first cousin, Jean Jones (Newton, Iowa) were more like brother and sister than cousins. As an adult, Larry lived many years with Jean. Larry worked in a factory in Rockford, Illinois for many years, he drove a cab in Newton, Iowa and he worked for FGB in Newton. He loved being with his friends. Larry enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time at the lake. He was a NASCAR racing fan who actively supported his favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson #48. Larry died Friday, January 11, 2008, at his home in Newton, Iowa. He was 60 years old. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles, including Justin and Bessie Walker. Those left to honor Larry's memory include his son, Brian Bunnell of Rockford, Illinois; his brother, Gene Bunnell of Burbank, California; a niece and a nephew both of Burbank, California and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
