William Willy Ray Wells, the son of Art Wells and Nancy Rae (Spicer) Wells, was born October 17, 1965 in Des Moines, Iowa. Willy worked for CentiMark as a roofer in commercial and industrial roofing. He enjoyed playing cards, playing pool and stirring some trouble up every now and then. He attended Cornerstone Bible Fellowship in Newton. Willy died on Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. He was 42 years old. Willy was preceded in death by his wife, Debby Purvis Wells. Those left to honor Willys memory include his daughter, Tisha Bonnett of Newton, Iowa; grandson, Je`sus; his mother, Nancy Wells of Des Moines, Iowa; his father and step mother, Art and Vicki Wells of St. Antony, Iowa; step-daughter, Tiffany Willis; step-son, Chad Bailey; step-granddaughters: Erica Bailey, Ashanta Willis and Taylor Willis; step-grandson, David Willis; children whom Willy help to raise, Zach and Katrina Johnson of Muscatine, Iowa; his sisters, Robin Saldana of Des Moines, Iowa, Traci Zamarron of Des Moines, Iowa, Jolene Parker of Missouri, Laurie Fields of Newton, Iowa, Lacey Greenwood of St. Anthony, Iowa; his brothers, Robert Barnhart of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Michael Wells of Baxter, Iowa; and a special friend, Cris Burckel of Newton, Iowa.
