Obituary of Mary Ida Butler

Mary Ida Butler, the daughter of Arnold Michael and Winifred (Burch) Sevenbergen, was born June 11, 1931 in Kellogg, Iowa. She attended school in Grinnell and went on to receive an associate degree in business management.
Mary worked for the Maytag Company, retiring as a forklift driver from assembly at Plant II. Mary was always very social and enjoyed visiting with people. She enjoyed reading and she loved her family.
Mary died on Monday, November 25, 2013, at Grinnell Healthcare. She was 82 years old. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughters Tammy Jo Cooper and Samantha Kay Butler; her sister, Shirley Choat and her brothers, Bob, Bill and Keith Sevenbergen.
Those left to honor Mary's memory include her son, Michael H. (Ashnie) Butler of Washington; her daughters, Connie Jean Simpson of Redding, CA, Kathryn S. Ballard of Newton, IA, Karen Lynn Butler and Kristine Diane Butler of Guthrie Center, IA; her fourteen grandchildren; her many great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
