Obituary of Linda Dianne Trotter

Linda Dianne Trotter, the daughter of Garritt and Marg (Schultze) Van Veen, was born July 30, 1948 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Linda graduated from the Newton Senior High School with the class of 1966. On April 20, 1968, Linda was united in marriage with Gerald Trotter in Newton, Iowa. Linda loved her family. She had worked for the Vernon Company for 25 years in many areas, including the order department and customer service. Linda enjoyed fishing, the Iowa Hawkeyes, crafts, her grandkids, and collecting pictures of outhouses. Linda died at her home in Newton on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She was 65 years old. Linda was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to honor Linda's memory include her husband, Gerry of Newton; her son, Todd Trotter (Kari Dietch) of Newton; her daughter, Aimee (John) Quick of Kellogg; her three grandchildren, Chelsea Anderson, Mitch Anderson and Garrett Quick; her sister, Gloria Craft of Newton; her brothers, Gary (Melinda) Van Veen of Newton and Kevin (Suzanne) Van Veen of Grimes, IA; and her dog, Abby. A time of visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16th at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Memorials in Linda's name may be left at the funeral home.
