Obituary of Lucille Teresa Jones

Lucille Teresa Jones, 90, a longtime resident of the Killduff, IA area, passed away Friday morning, July 12, 2013, at Careage of Newton. A fellowship time with Lucille's family will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at the Pence - Reese Funeral Home in Newton, with a funeral service at 10:30 a.m.. Memorials are being designated in Lucille's name, and may be left at the funeral home. Lucille, the daughter of Raymond and Cora (Catron) Peercy, was born March 26, 1923, near Runnells, Iowa, and she was a high school graduate. On June 29, 1940, Lucille was united in marriage with William E. Jones in Newton. She had devoted her life to her family and friends, and enjoyed her flower garden. Lucille will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Those left to honor Lucille's memory include her two sons and daughters-in-law: Clyde and Donna Jones of Newton and Keith and Sue Jones also of Newton; her nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Marilyn Peercy of Des Moines. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William on January 15, 1996; her daughters: Linda Smith and Judy Montgomery; her three brothers; and three sisters.
