June, a dear friend who no longer is a double amputee in a nursing home who lost both legs five years ago
due to poor circulation, but now has a complete body and I'm sure danced for Jesus or stood in His presence as "I Can Only Imagine" music by Mercy Me describes. My mother and her went back years ago as teenagers in North Street Church of the Nazarene in Lansing, MI and reconnected years later. I had the wonderful privilege of sharing times with June the last years I resided in Iowa when my mother and I would drive over to Newton from Des Moines and visit her in her senior living apartment and take her out to lunch. We'd also remember her with gifts at Christmas. After moving to North Carolina and even after my own mother's death, I still would write her newsy notes, send her inspirational cards, and occasionally phone June and talk to her on the phone quite long to encourage her when I knew she was really struggling with loneliness and especially severe depression with the loss of both legs, her life reduced to being trapped in a nursing home bed waiting to die. She was a very gifted and excellent seamstress, crocheter, knitter, and especially quilter known for the mens' tie quilts she designed and fashioned from various necktie donations or mens' personal ties they provided her with to use in quilts constructed for them personally. June is to be admired for her whole life background only a few of us personally knew about. She was truly a living testimony to God's provisions and His marvelous grace in her life. We shall miss you June, but you are in a far better place with Jesus in Heaven. You were a real jewel who sparkled and touched my life and will never be forgotten. RIP and know we will miss you! ♥ you June!! ~
To Leigh & Family,
My sincerest condolences in your sad loss of your sweet mom, but she's waiting for you now in Heaven along with many others who have gone on ahead of us. May God be with you and bring only His healing supernatural comfort to your hearts! Love & Prayers, Cindy
