I used to work with your Mom at Skiff hospital years ago- She was a very quiet lady- I liked to visit her in the hospital when we had someone in the hospital- she loved taking care of people.

Mom I am going to miss you! You were an awesome MOM. You were kind to EVERYONE. No matter who or what was going on, you were the quiet, in the background, steady rock in our lives. You were a strong person and accepting of everyone and took everything in stride. I am in awe, as to how you did it all. You did have the "look" that your granddaughters came to know and it sometimes meant "I don't know if Grandma is quite sure of that or maybe that Grandma doesn't think that seems quite right but I never remember you voicing many opinions, even when asked. More people than I can say, for years, after they found out you were my Mom would tell me what a great person you were. Well I already knew that. You were my inspiration in becoming a nurse, I know that you had told me that was something you had always wanted to do; but guess what --the way that you cared for the people around you was way more than any nurse could do. I love you!

I will always remember Veronica, working at Skiff. The nurses could never get my IV in and if Veronica was working they would say "let's go get Veronica" she could get the job done with just one poke, instead of me being a pin cushion. I will truly miss this wonderful lady. She always remembered me when she walked in the room at Skiff when I needed her, she would say, "Oh, their is the one that has so many problems with the IV." Veronica go do what you do best in heaven. God Bless!!
