It's been many years since I have seen Bernie but I remember her as the friendly lady at the bank. She took time and interest in all the people walking by her desk. She was God's love personified.

Bernie was one of the first smiling faces I met when I started at the bank and we were friends from the start. She was a wonderful friend to my Mom and I am glad they got to be great friends as well. I will miss your beautiful smile and sparkling blue eyes that always smiled too. I could be selfish and wish you back like my own Mom, but that isn't fair to you. I know you are with Dale and you will be forever smiling with him and down on us. I love you and will miss you.

Judy, Eric, Frosty and All,
My deepest thoughts will be with you all today as we struggle through the loss of Bernie. I so wish I could be there today with my family and yours. I will keep Bernie very close to my heart today and always. When I come home next week I will surely glance over hoping to get of glimpse of her as I walk into mom & dad's. Bernie and I enjoyed so so many conversations "over the fence" and I will miss my honorary grandmother with all my heart.

Bernie and my mom knew each other from their years of being in the banking business. Bernie was always at the front desk of the Jasper County Bank. I would beg my mom to go to the downtown bank instead of the motor bank at the mall. I knew that if we went downtown that I would get to see Bernie and that she would give me balloons and a sucker!! She was a fun lady. She always remembered me when she would see me with my mom around town after she retired. God Bless you Bernie!!

Bernie will be missed by so many people, myself included. A whole room would lighten up when Bernie walked in with that dazzling smile and great sense of humor. God picked a good one when he picked Bernie to come home.
