MMy Mom, Helen Grosvenor, knew Eleanor when they were in the rural ladies chorus together and traveled to Washington. Mom is 98 and living with my husband and I. She always talked about what a sweetheart Eleanor was and what fun they had together. Blessings on all your family.

So many good memories of Eleanor. I always enjoyed my visits to McCann Village with her and mom, they were 2 silly girls. She was the genuinely kindest person I have ever know. Sure did think the world of her and loved her like my own mom. I know she is truly at peace. Lynette

Eleanor I will remember was alway warm and inviting, easy to laugh and smile, patient, accepting and open to knowing and sharing with me memories, joys, sorrows, and prayers. I remember the times that Aunt Eleanor would visit Colorado. She had a gentleness and kindness about her. I appreciated the stories she would tell about growing up on the farm. I especially appreciated the tales she would tell us about our own dad - and the adventures of all four of the siblings while growing up. I remember both my dad and Aunt Eleanor telling about the horse & buggy that the kids would be allowed to take to school. It only fit three, so each day someone would have to walk. Both my dad and Aunt Eleanor laughed as they describe the girl- Aunt Eleanor - usually had to walk. Although I could not make it to Aunt Eleanor's service, my kids and I will be attending and offering mass today for her.

I had the pleasure of knowing Eleanor a brief moment in time but she made me feel like we knew other for years. I will never forget the glem in her eye when we talked about her family and things she enjoyed doing. She was very proud of her family. I miss her smile and the gleam in her eye.

Jim,Janna Beth, Jeff, Jasmine & Jacy So very sorry to hear about Eleanor's passing, I have so many great memories of times spent at your house when we were growing up, and than having the honor of living in her old house for 33yrs. Whenever we would run into each other we would catch up and our lives and of course the neighborhood. She was an awesome lady and friend and she will be missed by many people. Jasmine & Jacy, your Grandma loved you so much, and we talked about that many times after I was around you more when working with Lori. May the memories you all hold so dear of her in your hearts bring a smile to your faces everytime you think of her. I wish I could be there, but living away from Newton now makes that hard.
