Obituary of Charlene Renee Ibbotson

Charlene Renee Ibbotson, the daughter of Hubert Eugene Hoskins and Leona May Lake, was born January 15, 1949 in Fairfield, Iowa. She graduated from Fairfield High School and went on to receive a secretarial degree. On October 16, 1971, Charlene was united in marriage with John Howard Ibbotson in Pleasant Plain, Iowa. Charlene worked as a Medical Transcriptionist. She enjoyed caring for her animals, gardening and riding on the back of John's Harley motorcycle. Charlene died on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton. She was 62 years old. Those left to honor Charlene's memory include her husband, John, of Baxter; her father and step-mother, Hubert (Louise) Hoskins of Fairfield, Iowa; her mother and step-father, Leona (Don) Welch of Mason City, Iowa; her brothers, Gary (Kathy) Hoskins of Iowa City, Iowa and Jim (Gwen) Hoskins of Fairfield, Iowa; and her sister, Lugene (Russell) Jackson of La Porte, Colorado. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be designated in Charlene's name to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League. Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
