I knew Dena to be a wonderful lady. She was a friend of Lois Vos. I met her years ago while she was getting haircuts at the Hair Factory. Then reconnected at Newton Church of The Way. I met Dena because I was her doctors nurse until he retired in 2014. I enjoyed visiting with her when she came in. Such a warm, sweet and selfless lady. I ran into her in the ICU waiting room when my mom was dying. She was there with Marvin. She gave me so much comfort and seemed to know just what to say to me. Marvin and my Mom wound up on the same floor at Younkers. Again she gave me SO much comfort as I held bedside vigil for my Mom. A few days after Mom passed, I received a sympathy card with the sweetest note written in it. Again she knew just what to say. My sympathies to her family. She was truly a gem.
