A long term invaluable servant from every perspective whether faith or family she always did her best, however she was most notable to me (Ken) as a consummate spouse who seeming always supported Don in his various efforts.
A beautiful face filled with joy is what her family got and so did most others who met her. A wonderful legacy will likely follow her example.
I (Jody) recently read a booklet about reaching the next generation for Christ and the suggestions describe Carolyn to me: Grab them with passion; Win them with love; Challenge them with truth; Amaze them with God. Truly inspired teacher.

I met Carolyn when I began working for the Production Credit Association in 1971. Its office at the time was at the corner of E. 4th St. N. and N. 2nd Ave E. (the building is now part of a funeral home). I very much enjoyed Carolyn's obituary because it reflects all the memories I have had of her over the years. I used to occasionally see her when out shopping, but the last time I remember having a conversation with her was at the memorial service for her husband, Don. Her character and personality are very well reflected in her obituary. The writer(s) did an excellent job!

To Celebrate such a life well lived through words can be a challenge but our family were neighbors to Carolyn, Don, and the Knight family including Grandma & Grandpa Knight next door to our family the R.S. Johnson’s for decades.
The Knight’s were great neighbors and even greater people to know as lifelong friends.
What Carolyn & Don started years ago lives forward with a treasure of new younger generations of Knight decedent’s continuing to give to the community and sharing their families talents with the world…
Long live the Newton Cardinal Red Pride and the iconic and historic Jasper County Courthouse Christmas Lighting which was nearly lost to Newton if not for the unwavering support of the Don & Carolyn Knight Family.
A life well lived indeed.
From all of the next door Johnson’s we share in the celebration - Glory Be To God!
