Obituary of Cindy Jo Cupples

Cindy Jo Cupples, 72, of Newton, the daughter of William Joseph and Harriett Muriel (Walker) Cupples, was born February 23, 1952, in Newton.  She was a graduate of the Newton Senior High School, Class of 1970.

  A Time of Remembrance and Celebration will be held at a later date.  The Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton will be in charge of the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Cindy’s family, or to a charity of your choosing.  The burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery. 

  Cindy had lived near Newton most of her life and was employed by Capstone Behavior Health Care in Newton, as a Counselor, and was also employed at Terrace Inn.  She had devoted her life to her family.

  Cindy died Friday, May 17, 2024, at MercyOne Newton Health Care.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Troy Thompson in 2012; and a brother Jim Cupples. 

  Those left to honor Cindy’s memory include her son Ty (Amanda Sexton) Thompson; her two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; her sister Nancy Andersen; her brothers: Dave Cupples, Danny Cupples and Buddy Cupples; her nieces and nephews; and her many extended family and friends.
