As one of the charter members of Holy Trinity Lutheran and the close-knit family that LaVerne and JoAnn created together with our parents (Bob and Barb Deatherage), the Coopers, and the Vermillions (my apologies for anyone I've left out), JoAnn was always well-loved because she was always smiling and laughing and treated all of us kids in the group so well. We were all lucky that JoAnn and the rest of that founders' club decided to build that church, because it truly was a "family of families" that we were privileged to grow up in. JoAnn, thank you and God bless you!
