Obituary of Tina Louise Logsdon
Tina Louise Logsdon, born on August 19, 1966, in Des Moines, Iowa, to George and Genevieve Logsdon, has peacefully passed away on April 13, 2024, in her home surrounded by all her loved ones. Tina was preceded in death by her parents, George and Genevieve Logsdon, whom she cherished deeply.
Tina leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by her siblings Nancy Shiner of Baxter, David (Karen) Logsdon of Bondurant, Kathy (Ted) Clark of Baxter, and Linda Smith of Baxter. Her nieces Ally (Joe) Pickett of Altoona, Amber Logsdon of Bondurant, Mindy (Bob) Dougherty of Carney, Lindsey Logsdon of Altoona, and nephews Jason (Ashley) Clark of Waukee, Cory (Kelsey) Jensen of Ankeny, Christopher Logsdon of Des Moines, Brant Bogle of Newton, and Joshua and Jacob Bogle of Baxter. Along with eight great nieces and four great nephews. She also leaves behind her Cali cat who was her beloved companion who brought her comfort and joy.
She graduated from Ruby Van Meter School in Des Moines in 1987, where she was a cheerleader, she played on the basketball team, was a bell ringer, and was Prom Queen. Her warm and welcoming nature extended beyond her school years. Starting with her time at Link in Des Moines where she created lasting friendships. Tina continued to spread joy at Progress Industries in Newton, Iowa, after moving to Baxter in 1993.
Music and dancing were not just hobbies for Tina; they were expressions of her vibrant soul. She found solace and joy in every beat, her dancing feet never still. She loved attending dance competitions with her sister Kathy as she watched her great niece. Every dancer that hit the stage, Tina would be dancing along with them. The Iowa State Fair held a special place in her heart, it became an annual tradition to visit for her birthday, reveling in the music at the Bill Riley stage and soaring on the sky glider. Tina thought it was so cool that they would stop the sky glider just for her to get on it. She was a horror movie enthusiast, Tina’s favorite was Halloween, or as she called it “Michael, Michael.” She loved going to craft shows with her sisters and sitting next to the campfire. When she wasn’t dancing or going to craft shows, she always had to have a deck of cards in front of her. That was Tina, a simple deck of cards would put a smile on her face. Her smile was very contagious. All she had to do was give you one of her famous hugs and flash those baby blues and it made your day better.
Beyond her interests, Tina’s kindness and compassion were her defining traits. Her radiant smile that could brighten the darkest of days. Her hugs were legendary, capable of melting away worries and bringing comfort to all who crossed her path. Her genuine kindness and infectious positivity left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
