getting to come home sick and Grandma fixing me a cup of hot tea, slumber parties with banana splits and Schwann's pizza (and satin sheets if we asked long enough), taking a nap in the UP upstairs to listen to the rain, standing on my stepstool right next to the stove so I could take lessons, packing up coffee time to take out to Grandpa in the field, Grandma telling me that I couldn't say that I didn't want to eat something but to say "I don't care for that", getting up early to go to the Fair and then walking through the cake decorating area/cooking demos, having a Prims teacher that taught me so much of the Bible including the Old Testament to a song. So many memories but not enough time to recap all of them and to capture what a wonderful Grandmother you were to me. I love you and can't wait for you to meet me at the gates of Heaven (make sure Grandpa is right there waiting for me too!!).

pulling apart warm Toll House chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven, playing the game of Sorry (Grandma always took me home! - but she said it was a lesson to learn and part of the game), flashcards during the summer to enhance my Math skills, reading college books together on school breaks, podding peas & snapping beans on the patio swing or under the shade tree, playing house in the camper (especially coloring together in our color books!), and memorizing Scripture verses her way - with music and fun poems, oh' and her reading us stories, and so much more. I really love you Grandma and I can't wait to see you and Grandpa in Heaven!

I remember Mrs. Van Gorp's generosity in always sharing "goodies from her garden" with our family when we visited with Paul, Carol & family. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family during this event of celebrating her life which is now with her Lord and Savior!
