Obituary of Lucile Mae Hundley
Lucile Mae Hundley, 92, former resident of Newton, IA, was the daughter of Clarence Henry and Lilly Mae (Iske) Bisom, was born September 25, 1931, near Reasnor, Iowa. She was a high school graduate.
On September 26, 1949, Lucile was united in marriage to Hugh Kenneth Burton in Monroe, IA. Kenneth preceded her in death after 35 years, in 1986. She was employed as a factory worker and later as a C.N.A. in Home Health Care. In November 1988, Lucile was united in marriage with Ronald Dean Hundley. Over the years she had lived in Central and Southeran Iowa.
Lucile enjoyed sharing her home life with her family and loved time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, (even though she didn’t think she was very good), riding horses and crocheting (a lot).
Lucile died on Sunday evening, December 24, 2023, in Mount Ayr, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth; her second husband Dean in April 2000; a son Kenneth Earl Burton in infancy; a granddaughter Amanda Burton; her siblings: Kenny, Raymond, Ted and Francis.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held a later day, at the Newton Union Cemetery. The Pence~Reese Funeral Home in Newton, is handling the arrangements.
Those left to honor Lucile’s memory include her children: Carl LeRoy (Shelly) Burton, Johnie David (Terry) Burton, Kathryn Case, J.C. Burton and Viney (Randy) Mulder; her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her siblings: Helen Hale, Earl Bisom and Bob Bisom; and her many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Lucile’s family or a charity of your choosing.
