Obituary of Kenneth E Chance

Kenneth E. Chance, 67, was born May 14, 1956, in Newton.  The son of Frank Lee and Veronica Ann (Johnson) Chance. He attended the Newton Senior High, with the Class of 1974.

He was raised in the Catholic Faith.

   Kenny passed away on June 13, 2023, at the Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. 

   A time of remembrance and a celebration of life will be held at Palo Alto Cemetery, rural Newton, at a later date. 

   Kenny enjoyed the outdoors and was employed by Sullivan Auto Body in Newton.

   Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of sympathy, memorials may be designated to Kenneth’s family.

   Kenny enjoyed his family and friends and loved cars, racing cars and NASCAR.

   Kenny is survived by his wife Alicia (Quick) Chance; his children: Kasey Chance, Kyle Chance, Stacey Reynolds and Angela Neef; his siblings: Beverly (Jerry) Stewart, Carolyn (Pat) Sullivan, Richard (Becky Carhuff) Chance and Tim (Debbie) Chance; his many nieces and nephews; and good neighbors and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Vicki (Neef) Chance on Feb. 24, 1992; a brother Charles L. “Chuck” Chance; his two grandchildren: Christopher and James; his niece Emily; and a great niece Chrystal.
