Obituary of P. Jane Dougall-Davis

P. Jane Dougall-Davis, the daughter of William Kenneth and Nettie Estella (Roberts) Watt, was born October 20, 1932, in Colfax, Iowa.  She attended the Newton Senior High School.

In July 1950, Jane was united in marriage with Herbert J. Dougall, Jr.  Herb would precede her in death on November 4, 1982.  In November of 1993, Jane married Kenneth G. Davis.  Jane had worked for Sears, Peoples Natural Gas and Yeager Plumbing and Heating.  Jane was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, ABWA, Hospice of Jasper County board member, Skiff Auxiliary, Iowa Department of Elder Affairs Resident Advocate.  She enjoyed reading, baking and singing.

Jane died on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Park Centre in Newton, Iowa.  She was 90 years old.  Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert in 1982; her husband Kenneth, in 2012; a daughter, Sue Ann; her brother, Bill Watt; a sister, Barbara Lightfoot; and a daughter-in-law, Laurie Kahn.

Those left to honor Jane’s memory include her son, Herb Dougall III of Scottsdale, AZ; her daughters, Nancy Dougall of Newton, IA and Kendra Davis Collins (Craig) of Kentucky; her six grandchildren: Jena Walls, Amy Sink (Lucas Fischer), Jamey Dougall (Kandice), Vanessa Allgood (Keith), Nathan Dougall, Casey Collins (Michaela); her great grandchildren, Bella, Jayda, Sage, Chloe, Maddy, Lacie; her sister, Peg Montgomery (Jim); her sister-in-law, Nancy Watt; and a nephew, Bill Watt (Melanie).

Per Jane’s wishes, no services are being held.  Memorials may be designated to Willowbrook Adult Day Center or Wesley Life Hospice and may be left at the Pence Reese Funeral Home in Newton.
