I have many precious memories of picnics at Lake Wapello, birthday celebrations shared with your family and what an encouraging mentor Eldon was to Paul during our early days of ministry. What a joy to know that we do not sorrow like those who have no hope. Thinking of Eldon’s family during this bittersweet sweet time. What a kind and considerate man he was and a faithful servant. Eldon and sometimes Lola would visit my parents at the nursing home in Grinnell on a regular basis. My parents really appreciated and looked forward to their visits-talking about farming, life and the Lord. Eldon will certainly be missed by many. I look forward to seeing him again in Glory. My parents most likely were among several who greeted him there..
