Obituary of Georgienne Ann Chalupa

Georgienne Ann Chalupa, the daughter of George M. and Catherine (Butchko) Katchur, was born August 5, 1942, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Georgienne graduated from high school and went on to beautician school. She married to Dennis Chalupa and to this union two children were born. Georgienne was a longtime beautician in Newton. Along with touching many lives through her work, after living in Newton for more than 50 years she also had many close friends. She was a member of the Newton First United Methodist Church.
Georgienne died on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Park Centre Healthcare Center in Newton. She was 80 years old. Those left to honor Georgienne's memory include her daughter, Michelle Chalupa; her son, Chad Chalupa; and her four grandchildren.
Georgienne had a strong love of our furry friends, in lieu of memorials, she would have appreciated donations to local animal shelters. A Celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
