Haley “Hal” Herbold

Newton

Haley “Hal” Herbold, 59, the son of Howard H. and Alice V. (Masters-White) Herbold, was born October 23, 1962, in Newton.  He was a graduate of the Newton Senior High, Class of 1981. 

   Funeral services for Hal will be 1:30 pm, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, with a visitation from 5 pm until 7 pm, Monday, June 20.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Hal’s family, or to a charity of your choosing.  Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery. 

   Hal was employed as a Computer Technician by Dupont/Pioneer.  He devoted his life to his family and friends, enjoyed biking, beer can collecting and the outdoors.

   Hal died Saturday, June 10, 2022, at his home in Des Moines, of natural causes.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  

   Those left to honor Hal’s memory include his sister Valli Herbold-Childers of Columbia, MO; and his many extended family and friends

In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of your sympathy, memorials may be designated to the Audubon Society or a charity of your choosing.
