Obituary of Violet L. Rouse

Violet L. Rouse, 87, was born October 24, 1934, in Newton, the daughter of Cloyd Z. and Garnet (McLead) Ford.  She graduated from the Newton Senior High School, Class of 1952.

   On January 22, 1954, She was united in marriage with Keith L. Rouse, at the First Assembly of God in Newton.  She had devoted her life to her husband, family and friends.   Violet was a good wife and friend; she will be missed by those who knew her.  She had attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Newton. 

   Violet passed from this life on Wednesday evening, June 1, 2022, in Newton.    

   Violet is survived by her many extended family and friends. 

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Keith in 2002; her sisters: Evelyn Osborn, Eunice Fraker and Sharon Kay Miller.

   A time of remembrance and celebration will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the Pence – Reese Funeral Home in Newton, who has been entrusted with the arrangements.  Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Violet’s name to Hospice.
