Randy Rex Rees, 63, was born April 25, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa. The son of Robert and Alice May (Bannick) Rees. After he graduated from high school, he joined the military.
Randy served his country with the US Navy, having served on the USS Biddle and the USS Seattle. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He made a profession of salvation through faith in Christ alone and devoted his life to his Savior, family and friends. Randy will be missed by all those who knew him.
Randy passed from this life on Monday morning, February 14, 2022, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Randy is survived by his sister Rhonda (Jay) Miller; his brothers: Bob Rees and Rodney (Vicki) Rees; several nieces and nephews and his many extended family and friends.
A time of remembrance and celebration of life for Randy will be at a later date. Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton, is handling the arrangements. Burial will be in the Brethren Cemetery near Dallas Center, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Randy's family (make payable to Rhonda Miller).
