Obituary of Roberta Ann Albertson
Roberta Ann Albertson, was born May 15, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Robert John Mussett and Barbara Jeanette (Jeffries) Mussett. Roberta had lived in Colfax, Baxter, Florida, What Cheer and Newton. She graduated from Newton Senior High School and Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Charles Albertson I on December 18, 1974.
Roberta worked at Sigourney News Review in Sigourney, Iowa, managed Budget King in Des Moines, Iowa and worked at Newton 66 in Newton, Iowa. Roberta loved being with her family. She enjoyed figure 8 racing, camping outdoors and taking nature walks.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters Deanna Mussett, Anna Hansen, Rose Calhoun and 2 nephews Robert and Waylon.
Those left to honor the memory of Roberta include her sons and daughters-in-law Charles (Amanda) Albertson II of Kellogg, Iowa, Josh (Sharon) Albertson of Newton, Iowa, daughter Rachel Albertson of Newton, Iowa, 12 grandchildren Tasha (Mike) Avila, Zach (Megan) Leach, Kristina (Kenny) Lamb, Marvin (Tabitha) Housley, Nathaniel Archer, Charles McVay, Damian (Kayla) Andersen, Annastacia “Jason” Andersen, Keaton Albertson, Kathryn Albertson, Danielle Albertson, and Megan Albertson, 8 great-grandchildren Joesyph, Drew, Maverick, William, Spencer, Henry, Marvin III and Emery, 2 brothers Roy Mussett of Missouri, Robert Mussett II of Florida, 2 sisters Angela Jobes of Florida, Melva Loop of Washington, many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Roberta’s life will be held at the Newton VFW Post 1655 on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorials have been designated in Roberta’s name (make payable to Joshua Albertson).
