Obituary of Lois I. Timmons

   Lois I. Timmons went home to be with her Savior on September 18, 2020, at her home at Accura Health Care EAST in Newton.  Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of sympathy, memorials may be designated to a charity of your choosing or to Lois’ family.

Lois I. Timmons, 85, was born November 1, 1934, in Newton, the daughter of Clint W. and Pearl (Bollinger) Alford.  She attended Newton schools. 

   Lois was united in marriage with Joe Sibert, he would precede her in death.  She was employed in the catering department at Drake University.  She had lived in Monroe, Des Moines, Prairie City and Newton, and attended Monroe Presbyterian Church.  In 1976, Lois was married to Gary Timmons in Prairie City.  Lois had devoted her life to her family and friends. 

   Lois is survived by her son Mike (Kim) Sibert of Bearden, AR; daughter Becky (Wayne0 Kinart of Prairie City; her five grandchildren: Kelly, Randy, Dustin, Kate, Justin, Nicole, Gabe and Azelin; and her many good neighbors and friends. 

   She was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; a son Doug; and her siblings: Wayne Alford, Louise Dawson, Donald Alford, Clint Alford Jr., Doris Edward and Pauline Tabor.  

   There is no services for Lois planned at this time.
