Jane went home to be with her Savior on September 18, 2020, at her home in Newton.

A time of remembrance and celebration of life will be 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2020, at the Newton Arboretum, 3000 – N. 4th Ave. E.. Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of sympathy, memorials may be designated to Jane's family.  {Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, facemasks are encouraged.}  

Jane A. Brand, 71, was born July 25, 1949, in Newton, the daughter of Russell M. and Geraldine A, (Davis) Priaulx. She was a graduate of the Newton Senior High School, Class of 1967.

On August 15, 1969, Jane was united in marriage to James L. Brand in Columbus, Georgia. Jane had devoted her life to her family and friends. She had attended the Newton First Christian Church. Over the years she was employed at the Maytag Dairy Farm.

Jane is survived by her husband Jim; her daughter Teresa Higginbotham; her son Nathan Brand; her grandchildren: Evan Higginbotham and Emily (Chad) Benedict; her two great-grandchildren: Harper Benedict and Oliver Higginbotham; her sisters: Vivian (Dan) Ahnemann of Clear Lake and Mary Priaulx of Newton; and her many good neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson Logan.
