Obituary of Judy Carroll Montgomery

Judy C. Montgomery Funeral services for Judy will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at the Pence~Reese Funeral Home in Newton, who have been entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation with the family will be held from 12 noon until 1:00 service time, Wednesday, at the funeral home. In LIEU of flowers: As an expression of sympathy, memorials in Judy's name are being designated. Judy Carroll Montgomery, 66, the daughter of William E. and Lucille Teresa (Peercy) Jones, was born January 28, 1944, in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from the Lynnville-Sully High School, Class of 1963. On March 21, 1964, Judy was united in marriage with Raymond G. Montgomery. To this union four son were born, Floyd, George, Bruce and Doug. Raymond had preceded Judy in death. She devoted her life to her family and friends, and worked as a home health care aid. Judy attended the Newton Baptist Temple and later the Kellogg Christian Church with her mother. Judy died on Friday, November 5, 2010, at her mother's home in Killduff. She was preceded in death by her father William and a sister Linda Smith. Those left to honor Judy's memory include her sons: and daughters-in-law: Floyd Montgomery, George and Tonia Montgomery, Bruce and Karla Montgomery and Doug Montgomery, all of the Newton area; her seven grandchildren: Dustin, Kristi, Samantha, Sarah, Scott, Emily and Shelby; her mother Lucille Jones of Killduff; her brothers: Keith (Sue) Jones and Clyde (Donna) Jones, all of Newton; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
