Shirley was one amazing lady. I always looked forward to seeing her at our family reunions and she always had a zest for life. She will truly and deeply be missed♡

Wow. Shirley.
I met Shirley and Bob Suckow in the spring of 1997 when Shirley made a donation of a treasured family artifact to the Jasper County Museum. She and Bob worked side by side with the steam engine restoration to produce the splendid water wagon that we've been pulling in every 4th of July parade for nearly a quarter century, though sadly, not this year. She was a tireless ambassador for the Museum and always on hand to cheer the community and its celebrations.
Give Shirley a thought the next time you see her thoughtful gift to the community. We'll blow the whistle for her.

My name is Wanda Homer, and I am the mother of Miranda Hetzler of Newton, IA. Miranda, her husband, Josh, and their 2 children were neighbors to Shirley before she moved from her duplex. I was fortunate to meet and spend some time with Shirley at the kids’ birthday parties and even took her out for ice cream. She was a sweet, dear lady and such a good neighbor to our kids! Rest In Peace, Shirley! Love you! ❤️

Grandma,
Thank you for all of the fun memories in Glendale, on the farm, at Long Lake and wherever our adventures took us! The squirt bottle fights, parades, game nights (you sure were persuasive in those games of dominoes!) and treats of Double Stuff Oreos are some favorites. Your faith, devotion to family and life of service are still inspirational! We miss you so much, but are rejoicing that you are finally safe at home in Jesus' arms!
Love, Joel, Kristin, Elias, Abigail and Isley
