Obituary of Larry C. Loupee

Larry C. Loupee, the son of Ruskin and Thelma (Kooistra) Loupee, was born March 29, 1934 in Newton, Iowa. He graduated from the Newton Senior High School. On September 20, 1958, Larry was united in marriage with Mary Anne Bansemer. Larry worked for the Maytag Company in Newton, retiring as a Data and Specifications Analyst. Larry was an accomplished cribbage player. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at the cabin in Minnesota. Larry was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Newton, the Newton YMCA and the American Cribbage Congress where he served as a National Officer for four years. Larry died on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was 85 years old. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to honor Larry's memory include his wife, Mary A Loupee of Newton; his son, Michael (Rachel) Loupee of Marshalltown, IA; his daughter, Margie (Bill) Branderhorst of Newton, IA; his grandchildren, Aaron (Agustina) Loupee and their son, Kai, Nathan Loupee, Jacob Loupee, Ben (Michelle) Branderhorst and their children, Lilly and William, Joel (Jessie) Branderhorst and their son, Beau; and his brother, David (Carolyn) Loupee. There are no services planned at this time. Memorials may be designated to the Newton YMCA and may be left at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home.
