Obituary of Pamela Ann Johnson

Funeral services for Pam will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at the Pence~Reese Funeral Home in Newton, who have been entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation with the family will be held from 12 Noon until 2 p.m., on Wednesday. As an expression of sympathy, memorials in Pam's name are being designated to Hospice of Jasper County or Progress Industries. Pamela Ann Johnson, 39, the daughter of Randy A. Johnson and Kathy A. (Donlea) Johnson, was born August 24, 1971, in Augusta, Georgia. She was a graduate of the Maquoketa, Iowa High School, Class of 1992. Over the years Pam has lived in Penrose, Colorado; Maquoketa, Marshalltown and Newton, Iowa. Pam loved life, singing and the simpler things. She worked in workshops for Mid-Iowa and at Progress Industries. On Saturday morning, October 9, 2010, death came to Pam in the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton. She was preceded in death by three of her grandparents. Those left to honor Pam's memory include her mother Kathy Johnson of Marshalltown; her father Randy Johnson of Canon City, Colorado; brothers and sisters-in-law: Charles "Chuck" & Andrea Johnson and Rick & Stephanie Johnson, all of Marshalltown; sister Rebecca Daniels of Atlantic, IA; her nieces and nephews: Ashlee, Taylor, Jessica, and Dominic and Andrew; her maternal grandmother Mary Jo Donlea; and her many friends. Calling hours will be Wednesday, Visitation with the family will be 12:00pm NOON until 2:00p at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Kerry Jech officiating. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton on Wednesday.
