Lola Mae Stewart

Lola Mae, 71, of Newton, died Monday evening, February 11, 2019, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center in Newton.

Please join the family in celebrating Lola's life on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 2:00 unitl 4:00 pm at the Jasper County Church of Christ located at 1813 1st St. N. in Newton.

Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Lola's Family.

Lola Mae Stewart, the daughter of Bill and Marjorie (Allspach) Vansice, was born June 10, 1947, in Marshalltown. She had attended school in Baxter. Lola was employed by Days Inn and later as a Prep Cook for Taco John's, both in Newton. She enjoyed her flowers, coffee, gambling at the penny slots and playing bingo. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Lola Mae is survived by her Life's Partner of 34 plus years, Jerry "Scotty" Scott of Newton; her five children: Shawn D. (Stephanie) Stewart, Billie Jo (Samuel) Holland, Dan Hanen, Troy Scott and Julie Scott; her fourteen grandchildren: Kyle, Riley and Bree Holland, Hannah and Shailey Stewart, Dan Wilson, Shana Wilson, Troy Jr. Scott, Sara Scott, Paul Nasers, Ashley Smith, Natale Rogers, Preston Sholley and Lexes Sholley; her nine great-grandchildren; her brother Mark Vansice; and many good neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister Linda Harsh; and two brothers: Doug Dawson and Ronald Dawson
