Barb, went home to be with her Savior on Monday morning, August 27, 2018, at her home in Newton, under the care of Hospice of the Mid-West.

A time of remembrance and celebration of life will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Newton First Christian Church, with a visitation one hour prior to the services. The Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Larry or to a charity of your choosing, in Barb's name.

Barbara Jeane Trotter, 81, was born March 16, 1937, in Newton. The daughter of LeRoy Athea and Shelda Irene (Vestal) Dimon, a lifelong resident of the Newton area, she was a graduate of the Newton Senior High, Class of 1955.

On July 21, 1956, Barb and Larry Allen Trotter were united in marriage in Newton.

She was employed by the Newton YMCA for 40 years. She enjoyed sewing, reading and cooking for her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Barb is survived by her husband Larry; her daughters: Denise (Joe) Revell and Joni (Bill) Ogburn; son Craig (Suzy) Trotter; four grandchildren: Rachael Revell, Melanie (Nathan) Kroese, Sid (Catey) Trotter and Clay Trotter; two great grandchildren: Grant and Eva; and brother Fred (Margaret) Dimon; and her many good neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Betty Herrington.
