Dolores Jean McMaster, 84, the daughter of Gerrit and Alice (Hawkins) Vanderleest, was born September 29, 1933, near Newton, in Jasper County, Iowa.
On July 6, 1954, Dolores was united in marriage with Joseph "Joe" McMaster in Kellogg. Dolores and Joe moved to California, living there for thirty plus years, moving to Kingman, Arizona in 2005.
Joe was employed as a printer, was self-employed and enjoyed his work. Dolores had devoted her life to her husband and family.
Dolores died at her home in Kingman, AZ, on May 5, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe on August 26, 2009; and a sister Janet Eilander on October 14, 2007.
Those left to honor Dolores' memory include her two sons, Dennis W. McMaster and Doug J. McMaster, both of Kingman, AZ; her brother Bob (Carmen) Vanderleest of Newton; her three sisters: Shirley (Henry) Harris of Grinnell, IA, Beverly (Carlo) Supino of Newton and Roberta Lewis of Berwick, IA; several nieces and nephews; and her many friends.
Graveside Funeral services for Dolores were held May 15, 2018, at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton, Iowa. The Pence~Reese Funeral Home of Newton, was entrusted with the arrangement.
