So sorry to see this. Art was my boss in Data Processing at Maytag. What a nice man and good boss he was.

I knew Art as one of the sweetess people I have ever met. I work for CUCC and he would come into the office to have copies made for varies activities, he was also always willing to help put the church newsletter together. I will miss his smile, kind words and his Cubs hat, which I never saw him without. I didn't know him well, but to know him at all was a privilege. He will be missed.

Barbara Thayer Anderson was my Cornell College roommate. After our graduation we four "Cornell Couples" stayed in close contact and shared vacations, trips to one another's homes and many, many good times.
"Andy" and I were the last two left - he age 95 and me nearly 91. We grew close.
I shall miss him very, very much. He was a fine person.

Dear family,
I wanted to let you know how much l will miss Art. Every time l would come to Newton to visit my mother Ann Straight, l so very much enjoyed his company. He was always a gentleman and so comfortable to be around. We would discuss all sorts of subjects from fishing, baseball, to spending wintertime in Arizona. He is now at peace and back with Barb, Tom, and many other loved ones. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
Best wishes, Julie Mills Gunderson

Art and I discussed the double chocolate chip cookie yesterday... he didn’t eat it because of his teeth. From now on I will always eat the cookie! He was a sweet man... so sorry for your loss.
